US police have arrested a 55-year-old man on March 26 for allegedly installing surveillance cameras in a family home and monitoring them for at least a year.

According to ABC News, Terry Sumner told police that he had installed a camera in a friend's house in Florida to monitor her family.

The woman spotted the camera in the socket on the living room wall on 5.3 and found it connected to her Wi-Fi. Finally, she transferred the device to the police, who discovered it was related to Sumner.

The woman said Summer is a friend of her family and he knows the Wi-Fi password of the house.

Sumner has admitted to following this family through camera and a smartphone application, police said.

Sumner explained that he used an application on the phone to watch, listen and record the victim's indoor activity directly, "police said.

Investigators searched Sumner's home and found "lots of child pornography" in his cell phone. The victims in the photos are under 11 years old and are Sumner's acquaintances.
