Catastrophic consequences for humankind if US-Russian war space

A war in space will create "minefields" that make humans stranded on Earth, an activist warns.

The right of US Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has stated that the United States will win any war in space. However, an activist who dismissed this statement and warned of space war will make humanity a prisoner on Earth.

Earlier, Mr. Shanahan told US senators: "I fully believe we can win a conflict in space today" with Russia, China or any other rival.

When asked to comment on this ambitious statement, Bruce Gagnon, coordinator of the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Energy in the Universe, reiterated the words of American astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who Friday set foot on the Moon.

"Years ago, I held a protest at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida and one of the speakers in the rally was Mitchell," Gagnon said.

“He said that if there was a war in space, it would be the last fight because there would be a lot of cosmic garbage created when the satellite was exploded, and as a result we would not be able to deliver the rocket. away from Earth. Missiles will not be able to pass through this minefield. ”

Mr. Shanahan's statement is not really new because Washington talked about controlling and dominating space since Ronald Reagan's presidency in the 1980s, Gagnon told RT.

"America considers space to be another territory to fight. They have a slogan as a total dominance, which means that the US military should control a conflict at every level - the ground, the ocean, and the above. no and now space ”, according to Gagnon.

Gagnon also praised Russia and China for their decades-long efforts to push for a resolution to prevent UN space arms race (PAROS) while the US and Israel did the opposite.

"Russia and China have said: Please close the barn before the horse runs out. But the US refuses because its arms corporations want to make money from the new arms race in space", Gagnon alleges.
