Good work, given by Zimbabwe's richest billionaire, $ 1,000 / month

The fact that the 71-year-old woman walked many kilometers to bring necessities to victims affected by the typhoon caused Zimbabwe's richest man to admire.

According to CNN, Plaxedes Dilon, 71, became the focus of attention when she brought clothes and supplies for natural disaster survivors tens of kilometers away.

Dilon volunteered to assist rescue work for thousands of homeless people, sheltering in the Highlands Presbyterian Church in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. Church of the Church posted a picture of Mrs. Dilon with a sack on her head. Because she could not afford transportation, she chose to walk nearly 10 kilometers from home.

Zimbabwe's richest man, Strive Masiyiwa, announced that he would build Dilon a house wherever she wanted. Not only that, but the CEO of the telecom group also promised to give her $ 1,000 a month to the end of her life.

"What she did was one of the most incredible acts of philanthropy I've ever seen," Masiyiwa wrote on Facebook.

“I will find and invite her to see me, if possible. I will spend time praying with her! I will build her a house wherever she wants to be in Zimbabwe! It will use solar energy and have enough running water ".

"I will give her $ 1,000 a month to the end of my life," Masiyiwa wrote.

When he heard the news about the natural disaster through radio, Dilon spent part of his clothes sold to make a living for the victims. "I immediately packed my clothes and walked to the church the next morning."

Masiyiwa said Dilon's actions touched him: "I admire those who are willing to act in the crisis ... Not how much money you have."

It is estimated that the number of people killed by Hurricane Idal in four African countries exceeded 750. In Beira, Mozambique, 90% of houses were completely destroyed. Witnesses said they saw 300 bodies drifting ashore outside the city.
