Video: Jumping at a height of 400m, two people died

A girl and instructor died when parachuting in Mexico for reasons of not opening during the jump from a height of 400 meters.

According to the Daily Star, Vanessa Cardenas, 18, died in front of her lover's eyes. Instructor Mauricio Gutierrez Castillo, 34, also died in the incident in Morelos, Mexico.

The director of parachute services Jorge Gaitan said one of the victims had made a mistake that led to tragedy.

Video returned by people on the ground, showing the victim falling freely to the ground. Before that, another parachute was successful.

The camera is aimed at something that falls very fast and that is the victim. The video recorder exclaimed: "Oh no, no, no".

It is known that Mauricio is an experienced jump instructor with more than 400 jumps. This girl just arrived in the area with her boyfriend at 3 pm, to celebrate her 18th birthday.

The initial investigation showed that, although the two victims were still active, it was unclear why it did not break out at jumping.

"We are investigating but the parachute does not seem to be a problem because it still works," the Mexican emergency agency said. "This could be an accident because of people."

The company provides parachute services, claiming that their parachutes are designed to self-extract at a fixed height, so "there is no possibility of opening even though it cannot be opened."
